Nesta obra, a artista discorre sobre a internet e sua concretude na forma de milhares de quilômetros de cabos de fibra óptica localizados no fundo dos oceanos. Trata-se de cabos infraestruturais para as telecomunicações. Em meio às ondas do mar, nossas vidas – ditas wireless e em nuvem
– estão atadas a cabos físicos. Entre cidades submersas, navegantes afogados e histórias escondidas, o oceano tornou-se terra de uma complexa rede de histórias e comunicações. Nesse contexto, as telecomunicações, controladas majoritariamente pelo Ocidente, se expandem por meio de antigas rotas coloniais, de maneira que esses cabos sejam o hardware de um novo imperialismo eletrônico e digital.
Tabita Rezaire é a infinidade encarnada nesse tempo de vida como uma agente francesa – de descendência guianesa e dinamarquesa – da cura. Ela usa as artes e as ciências como tecnologias de cura para servir à mudança em direção à consciência do coração. Navegando por arquiteturas de poder – mental, onlinee offline –, seu trabalho ataca a matriz penetrante da colonialidade, o protocolo do desalinhamento energético e seus afetos em nossos corposmentes-espíritos. Ela está particularmente interessada nos espaços-tempos de vida em que a tecnologia e a espiritualidade se interseccionam.

In this work, the artist talks about the internet and its concreteness in the form of thousands of kilometers of optical fiber cables located at the bottom of the oceans. These are infrastructural telecommunication cables. Amidst the waves of the sea, our lives — its wireless counterpart and the cloud — are tied to physical cables. Between submerged cities, drowned navigators and hidden stories, the ocean has become the land of a complex web of stories and communications. In this context, telecommunications, controlled mainly by the West, expand through old colonial routes, making it so these cables are the hardware manifestation of a new electronic and digital imperialism.
Tabita Rezaire is the infinity embodied in this time of life as a French agent — of Guianese and Danish descent — of the cure. She uses the arts and sciences as healing technologies to serve the shift toward the consciousness of the heart. Navigating power architectures — mentally, online and offline — her work attacks the pervasive matrix of coloniality, the protocol of energy misalignment, and its effects on our bodies-minds-spirits. She is particularly interested in the spaces-times of life in which technology and spirituality intersect.
